The Best NE Show Since Centuries!!!

Hi all,

Long Time No See!!! Yes, big time. 'Cause I have been clearing my family files and school work. And guess what?! My mum got me into a new pile of tuition homework.

Ok, enough complaining. Lets get on to the main thing. I have waited and waited for years and months and days for the one and only- NE Show (NDP Performance)! Mr Koo wil be our in-charge teacher with the help of Sean's mum and Darren's dad.

In lunch that day, I practically swallowed down the especially huge plate of zha cai fan. I packed my bag in a haste. It was so fast that my mum got frightened. I was usually the slowest kid in the block. I did not my mum to spoil the whole mood by nagging about my untidy hair so I let her tie it up.

Got to school in time. Mrs Cho told us that there would be loads of briefing. But it was only saying the same thing over and over again. You must fill your bottles...Do not wander away yourself...Stay with your buddy at all times...bla bla bla.

A whole 2 hours before we can board the bus. And before that we got our funpack and Mc'donald's Meal! Cool huh... Once on the bus I started unpacking everything from the funpack and stuff them in my own brought bag. Mum said that if we all carry the same bag and I have put in my camera and and all, it might get exchanged.

There were so many performance I cannot say all of them. But I will say the main events.

1. My chrysantamen tea packet broke and almost soaked my bag, phew...

2.The CHIJ St Nicholas Girls School act cute and fake shouted during the canon part.

3. It rained at the best part- finalle!!! It was extremely heavy. But was it fun, yes it was! I wore my raincoat upside down 'cause I was singing Stand Up For Singapore!

The rain was a bonus feature...

Fire Safety

Hi. Just yesterday was the fire drill in the school. Normally, I would take fire drills lightly, But this time, I decided it is time to take this seriously after I noted about last year's big fire at the pub in Bangkok and 4 Singaporeans died in the fire. Below are some questions our teacher wanted to discuss with us;

1.Have you seen or witness any incident of fire breakouts around your home or neighbourhood? If so can you tell us about it?
Ans:Yes. It was in the evening when our neighbourhood wet market had an electrical outburst and that caused a huge fire I did not witness it but my father had as he was on the way to buy dinner. he told me that no one was injured. the fire was so huge I can saw the smoke right from my house.

2.Can you tell us what you would do if a fire break outs in your house or outside?
Ans:If it is in my house, I would try to stay calm and keep my younger brother calm to. Then, I would close the door that of the room that is on fire. I would bring my brother out and close the house door. I would then inform my neighbours about the fire break out and use their telephone to dial 995. I would not return to the affected apartment.

3.What do you think think are the main causes of a fire in the house or outside?
Ans:They can be caused by mischievous children, stoves that are not looked after and had caused a fire due to overheating. Mainly, human carelessness and mischief.

4.What can you do to prevent this from happening to homes?
Ans: Just like I said above in Q.3, we just had to be careful and look out for children up to mischief.

5.Do you think our pupils are conscious about fire safety?
Ans:Sadly no. They are always laughing madly during the fire drills.

Social Studies Learning Journey

This learning journey almost bring tears to my eyes. The picture displays were very disgusting. When reading the story of how Japanese killed the babies, I can almost hear the babies cry! Another story is a headless man walking. This man was walking on the street and did not bow low enough to the Japanese. The Japanese chopped of his head and the corpse was still walking! Bukit Chandu was also very interesting. The Lieutanant Adnan video was excellent. I'm sure everyone enjoyed the trip.

Total Defence 2009

Hi guys,

Total defence is only a week away, I'm sure everyone is busy doing their Total Defence blog posts. We are given the theme of, "What will I defend".
For me, I will defend SINGAPORE'S DIGNITY. Every time I go to Coffee Bean or Starbucks, I will hear some foreigners criticising Singapore like, Singaporeans are so stingy, Singaporeans so "kia su", they beat their children... I just hate them went they say all this.
Well, what will I do to this? I will stop people I know from saying this. What will you do?
